So I had an awesome Halloween. I dressed up as a Geisha, and had, like, fifteen college age friends with me trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. It rocked: best Halloween I've ever had. And then we drove around for, like, an hour trying to find this haunted house, which turned out to smell like marijuana, so my friend Patrick was uncomfortable and we left. But we went back to our apartment and several of us played catchphrase and had a marvelous time in general.

AWESOME. FREAKING. HALLOWEEN.

Okay, guys. Newest episode of SGU. Here are my thoughts. I'd like yours. :)

At first I was frustrated. "Why the crap are they making Dr. Rush an even bigger d-bag?!" I guess it makes sense if he's going through caffeine and nicotene withdrawal. He's still kind of an ass, but hopefully he'll improve. He kind of reminds me of my uncle a little bit, what with the scraggliness and the long hair. Although, he is fitter, smarter, and much, much grumpier. Oh, and he's not hilarious.

I like Young. I feel really sorry for him, with that woman breaking up with him at all. Was that his wife or his girlfriend? I really appreciate his patience with everybody, especially Rush. Telford was kind of a jerk in this one.

They gave Wray a bigger part. I liked what little of her was in this one.

What's the deal with TJ? Is she, like, pregnant or something? I'm interested to see what is going on with her character.

Also, I'm an instant Eli/Chloe (Chloeli? j/k) fan. He was so sweet in this episode. I just like him more every time. :D

The people's messages for posterity were weak, for the most part. I liked the one lady who was going off about scientific crap. Riley, too. I like him. Dr. Rush's blank stare was great. But that one doctor with the "Schubert" thing... Loved it.

Tomorrow I leave Albuquerque for San Jose, and on Wednesday I depart from San Francisco for JAPAN! I'm so excited, and really nervous. This has got to be the craziest thing I've ever done, but God has been so good so far. I have everything I need, and I didn't think I'd get this far. I've spent so many nights lying awake in bed, my heart beating fast, and all I could say was, "God, if you want this, you'll make it happen. I trust you."

This is funny because Jessie and I were watching Twilight thinking, "What's wrong with Mike? He's a normal guy! He's not a creeper like Edward! Edward is such a creeper!" And we wanted to be part of Team Mike. So... awesome. Team Mike. Go Mike! Who wants a creepy, controlling vampire when you could have a NORMAL HUMAN BEING who doesn't STALK you? A guy who has a normal sense of humor and normal relational boundaries!

I'd much rather have a Mike than an Edward or a Jacob.

Jessie was talking about how she read in a relationship book that when a girl asks a guy out, she sets the tone for the relationship, as in she becomes kind of the leader/initiatior of the relationship.

My question for you is this: Do you think a girl should ask a guy out? And do you agree with the statement above?

I come out dead center in Extraverted/Introverted and Intuitive/Sensing. I'm also fairly even on the other two axes, though on those ones one attribute definitely comes out ahead of the other.

The guy who administered the test explained that my personality shifts depending on the situation.

Well, I've taken all my finals and I've almost got my room packed.

And may I just say, I find it quite distressing when I'm sitting in class waiting for a final and I hear one guy badmouth another bigtime in said other's absence. I was appalled. First, we're supposed to be Christians. Second, we're supposed to be freaking college students. Suddenly we're back to middle school.

The conversation ended before I had a chance to turn around and give the badmouther a piece of my mind.

Well, I started watching the Death Note anime today. I must say, it's far more intriguing than I had expected. I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm definitely really wanting to see the movies, now.
